Now is the time to join North Valley Hospital''s (NVH) growing work family. We are seeking a Help Desk Technician to serve our satellite clinics. This position requires the ability to travel to various clinics in Columbia Falls, Eureka, Kalispell and Whitefish (plus seasonal clinics located at Whitefish Mountain Resort and West Glacier); travel requirement is 10 to 25%25.
The Help Desk Technician''s role is to ensure proper computer operation so that end users can accomplish business tasks. This includes receiving, prioritizing, documenting and actively resolving end user help requests. Problem resolution may involve the use of diagnostic and work order tracking tools, as well as require the individual give in person, hands-on help at the desktop level. Creates & maintains user databases in all I.S. maintained computer systems.
Position is full-time, 80 hrs/pp to work Monday through Friday; between 7a to 5p. This position occasionally works overtime as required to support project work and business needs. Additionally, this position occasionally works weekends when required to minimize business impact. Requires taking call one week out of every 8 weeks as scheduled. Be aware that schedules and shifts are subject to change based on patient care, departmental and organizational needs.

Requires: Associate degree in the field of computer science and/or 2 years equivalent work experience. Excellent technical knowledge of PC and desktop hardware. Extensive equipment support experience with PC peripherals. Working technical knowledge of current protocols, operating systems, and standards, including MS Windows. Effective interpersonal skills and relationship-building skills. Strong written and oral communication skills. Self-motivated and directed, with the ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment. Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. Strong customer-service orientation. Requires current Montana Driver''s license with good driving record.
Desire: Excellent technical knowledge of PC internal components; A+ Certification in desired. Hands-on hardware troubleshooting experience. Ability to operate tools, components, and peripheral accessories. Able to read and understand technical manuals, procedural documentation, and OEM guides. Ability to conduct research into PC issues and products as required. Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language. Understanding of the organization''s goals and objectives. Analytical and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
