North Valley Hospital in Whitefish, Montana, has an excellent opportunity for an experienced community relations coordinator. At a minimum, candidates must have an Associates Degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism or Business, with 5 years of marketing experience.
This position is full-time, 80 hrs/pp, to work Monday through Friday, 8a to 5p. However, this position requires regularly working beyond business day and includes working evening and weekend hours to host and attend evenings. Be aware that schedules and shifts are subject to change based on patient care and departmental/organizational needs.

POSITION
Summary: The Community Relations Coordinator plans, coordinates and implements marketing and community relations strategies consistent with North Valley Hospital''s mission, vision and values. The Coordinator develops and prepares or oversees the production of hospital advertising, organizational publications and audiovisual projects. Additionally the Coordinator plans, coordinates, implements and participates in community education programs and events; and promotes the organization. Assists in design and updates: website, intranet and social media sites. Represents hospital at community events.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
REQUIRES:
1.Associate Degree in Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations or Business, with five year''s marketing experience.
2.Demonstrated knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
3.Knowledge of media production, communication, and dissemination techniques and methods. This includes alternative ways to communicate via written, electronic, broadcast, verbal and visual media.
4.Knowledge of principles and processes for providing exceptional customer service.
5.Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, budget development, resource allocation, leadership technique, and coordination of people and resources.
6.Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as written communications, file and record management, and other office procedures.
in use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Publisher. Willing to learn new programs utilized in the department in order to perform the job function.
8.Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects; develop specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish work and projects.
9.Demonstrated ability to meet strict deadlines; possess excellent project management and organizational skills, and exhibits calm and poise when under pressure.
10.Experience in using with social media such as Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube.
11.Available to frequently work evenings and weekends to host NVH events or attend community events on behalf of NVH.
DESIRE:
1.Bachelor Degree in Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations or Business, with two years experience in Marketing.
2.Experience using digital & video cameras and incorporating photos into various media formats.
3.Experience in a hospital environment and knowledge of medical terminology is helpful.
4.Experience in using social media monitoring sites in a professional environment.
5.Good working knowledge of design software such as InDesign and Photoshop.
6.Experience in WordPress.
