Maintains high quality standards in regard to alcohol service, sanitation and safety. Responsible for the setup, maintenance and operation of the bar. Responsible for food and drink service. Demonstrates commitment to guest satisfaction and positive employee and company relations. Must assist in other departments or with other job duties as requested or necessary.
1. Assists or takes the place of staff members when necessary.
2. Takes the place of the Bar Manager when he/she is not present.
3. Assists the Bar Manager in all facets of the Bar operation.
4. Collects currency and keeps an accurate account for control.
5. Gives receipts with every transaction.
6. Comes out from behind the bar to wait on patrons dining and/or drinking at tables.
7. Courteously assists with customer concerns that relate to service and quality of the bar.
8. Enforces and adheres to all company policies and regulations.
9. Ensures good safety practices of employees and guests throughout the property.
10. Ensures standards of appearance and sanitation are maintained at all times.
11. Keeps all water and beverage glasses filled as needed or requested.
12. Keeps bar neat and clean throughout service.
13. Maintains effective cost and portion controls in bar by using accepted pouring methods.
14. Maintains inventory according to established methods.
15. Maintains effective line of communication between Dining Room, Kitchen and other departments.
16. Completes nightly reports.
17. Reviews food and beverage sales daily.
18. Mixes and serves alcoholic beverages to guests.
19. Serves food.
20. Presents check immediately after service or within an appropriate amount of time.
21. Reconciles receipts w/ total sales to verify accuracy of transactions.
22. Rings out guest check & collects cash or credit card from guests.
23. Provides directional flow of entire bar during service.
24. Responsible for following federal, state and National Park Service regulations for serving alcoholic beverages in a responsible manner.
25. Responsible for reporting daily inventory sheets to Corporate F&B; office.
26. Responsible for the ordering, receipt and storage of all alcohol inventories and bar equipment.
27. Takes fast and appropriate action to solve problems.
28. Takes part in all sales goals and incentive programs.
29. Greets and informs guests of promotions.
30. Makes yes-yes choices available to the guest.
31. Will assists in banquets as assigned.
32. Will obey all hotel rules and regulations.
Able to handle guest concerns in a tactful and caring manner.
Bartending experience required.
Hospitality computer system experience desirable.
Must be 18 years of age or older.
Must be able to work varied shifts.
Must be team oriented. Must have good table service skills.
Must have knowledge of bar accounting.
Must possess neat and pleasant grooming habits.
Strong interpersonal skills required.
Must be pleasant, helpful, friendly, outgoing, enthusiastic and courteous in dealing with guests and coworkers.
